Renew Spaces: Jack’s Magazine

The Space

Due to the heritage nature of the site, please consider the following when submitting your Expression of Interest: site access will be via a keyed gate and gravel road; basic lighting, power and an amenities block are provided and spaces are lockable. However, if your project requires, for instance, three-phase power, you would need to provide your own generator. In addition, if you are successful in securing a space. The following must also be considered:

  • No fixing into walls (internally or externally)
  • No modification of the structure of the building (without prior approval)
  • No painting of the buildings
  • Protection of the building fabric as much as possible/reasonable – eg, use drop sheets if undertaking messy works
  • Free standing signage or signage fixed to the existing metal gates is permissible
  • Any design / fitout ideas to be assessed by Working Heritage to confirm their suitability and/or approval

Costs to Consider

  • Public and Product Liability Insurance ($25 per week provided by Renew Australia)
  • Improvements and Fit Out (Paint, shelving, decor)
  • Activation time commitments (Your time)
  • Waste removal – no bins available onsite
  • Utilities – power and water
  • Make good obligations
