Sam Cooney runs the independent small book press Brow Books, and is publisher of quarterly literary magazine The Lifted Brow.
He is publisher-in-residence at RMIT, teaches sessionally at several universities, and is a freelance writer and literary critic. He has judged many literary prizes, sits on a couple of advisory boards, chairs lots of events, and in 2017 took part in the Australia Council’s ‘Future Leaders’ professional development program.
Earlier this year he was a member of an Australia Council publishing delegation tour of India, and he’s soon to travel to the US on a research secondment and to the UK for publishing activities.
