Renew and Angela and Co. have been extremely helpful and have enabled Jim Bridges’ 35 year dream to come to fruition, for which we are very grateful. It has given us the opportunity to start new projects i.e. ToonTalk show and enable cartoonists to exhibit their work and keep up the interest of the public.
Participating in Renew Australia is a great opportunity to evolve my storytelling practice through engaging new audiences in new the physical context made possible by having a shop in a central location. It has already had a warm response from the community and given me a myriad of creative ideas to trial and develop. Thanks to the Renew Geelong team for their support and encouragement and to Renew Australia for the vision to enliven communites and creatives in this way.

I absolutely love the opportunity that the Renew Geelong Initiative has presented. I have moved my passion-driven home based businesd to a studio-based business that simply elevated everything I can offer. I now have a terrific space I can work in and meet clients in. I can make it all my own and build a loyal customer/audience base.
Renew Australia have engineered a lively and vibrant arts collective at Docklands, organising and managing a disparate group of artists and creative organisations – very much like herding cats, we suspect – with kindly patience and good humour. Magnet is delighted to be a part of their enterprise.
Loving our time with Renew Australia. It has been a great opportunity to learn the ins and outs of a relatively large working studio (we are 13 artists) and without financial pressure to add into the mix. We have nearly all had a solo exhibition in our gallery, and have all participated in 2 group exhibitions and a 3rd is imminent. So many thankyous to Renew Australia.
Renew Geelong has given us the opportunity to scale sooner than we expected. Having a physical studio/office location has helped us engage our clients more professionally and increased our vision for the projects we can take on.
This is a fantastic project, giving Geelong’s micro business a chance to be recognised, and revitalise the CBD.
